An all-girl band from San Francisco. They play some catchy post-punk. “The three push-pull their way through songs, riding atop a clatter of drums and nervous guitar, but what seems to glue the frackus together is the sweetly sad vocals that careen from soaring multi-part harmonies to a comforted croon.” [>]
I first noticed them on last year’s Yeti 6 Comp, which means they managed to stand out among acts like The Clean, Blank Dogs, Crystal Stilts etc. I’d tell you to buy the new record but the label site says “We just ran out of the Grass Widow LP…”
