Soft Metals are a Portland duo comprised of Ian Hixx and Patricia Furpurse. Like their fellow Portlanders The Miracles Club, they make catchy house/ italo disco/ synth pop tunes played on vintage synthesizers. Orchard Thief is a Minneapolis-based one-man project. Sam makes “music for when you need to take a deep breath” and “music for morning routines and getting home after work.” He also says that the Orchard Thief songs are about growing up and having feelings.
