Soft Metals are a Portland duo comprised of Ian Hixx and Patricia Furpurse. Like their fellow Portlanders The Miracles Club, they make catchy house/ italo disco/ synth pop tunes played on vintage synthesizers. TRANS AM – APPARENT HORIZON

The new album by Washington’s electronic post-rock outfit Trans Am is called Thing and is coming out April 20 on Thrill Jockey. The label offered one of the new songs for download, grab ‘Apparent Horizon’ below.

Orchard Thief is a Minneapolis-based one-man project. Sam makes “music for when you need to take a deep breath” and “music for morning routines and getting home after work.” He also says that the Orchard Thief songs are about growing up and having feelings.
