New album by Annie Sachs a.k.a. Tickley Feather is coming out on Paw Tracks on October 19th. Featuring more beats as well as some hooks, it’s a more accessible affair than her previous effort, the last year’s fine self-titled debut. Not only is Hors d’oeuvres less atmospheric, it even has a few really catchy up-tempo tunes. Not to mention the appropriately titled closing track – Tickley Plays Guitar, which finds Sachs playing some riffs over the good old drum machine beat. Not to worry, it’s all still very charming and enjoyable.
